The UJ330H-160 is a true hybrid printer, capable of producing both roll-to-roll graphics and direct-to-board prints from the same platform. It handles flexible materials such as vinyl, banner, wallpaper and film alongside rigid substrates including foamboard, acrylic, aluminium composite and corrugated board.
Rigid media up to 50.8 mm thick can be printed directly, while roll media up to 1,620 mm wide is supported for traditional sign and display work. Switching between production modes takes minutes, enabling businesses to expand their range of applications without investing in separate machines.
For print providers moving into flatbed production for the first time, this hybrid approach offers a practical route into new markets including retail displays, interior décor panels, packaging prototypes and window graphics.
Proven Mimaki 330-series print quality
At the heart of the UJ330H-160 is Mimaki’s advanced 330 print platform, delivering sharp detail, smooth tonal gradations and strong colour density across both rigid and flexible materials.
UV printing capabilities add further creative potential. High-opacity white ink enables vibrant output on coloured or transparent substrates, while clear ink allows gloss, matte and textured effects for premium applications. Multi-layer printing of up to five layers supports effects such as double-sided window graphics and tactile finishes.
Instant UV-LED curing means prints are ready for finishing immediately, helping businesses move quickly from print to installation while maintaining consistent quality across demanding applications.
Designed for efficient production
The UJ330H-160 has been developed to support smooth, predictable production across both rigid boards and roll media. A newly designed belt conveyor system ensures stable transport of rigid substrates, while multi-zone vacuum control helps keep materials securely positioned throughout the print process.
For roll media work, the integrated roll handling system allows operators to switch quickly between production modes, enabling print businesses to move seamlessly between signage, display graphics and direct-to-board work without disrupting workflow.
New ELS series UV inks further enhance day-to-day usability. These next-generation formulations are SVHC- and CMR-free and produce approximately 30 % less odour, helping create a more comfortable working environment while maintaining the durability and colour performance expected from Mimaki UV printing.
Together with the printer’s compact footprint and straightforward installation requirements, including the ability to fit through a standard doorway, the UJ330H-160 provides a practical and efficient route into UV hybrid production.
